Mozambique, Africa

The vision of Visible Waves is to see a generation of healthy, safe, educated, and trained women and children by bringing hope to the hopeless and being an advocate for the voiceless in society. The Niassa province in Mozambique has the largest population of unreached people (never heard the Gospel) in all of Mozambique and is home to many women and children in compromised situations. Polygamy is very common and has been widely accepted for many generations so a biblical concept of family is a foreign concept. Visible Waves was established to bring cultural change to this region by impacting one life at a time who can then impact their community.

They envision safe and harmonious family environments for the orphaned and vulnerable children by empowering the widows and vulnerable women. This is accomplished through advancing the Gospel and their community development initiatives. This provides an opportunity for women to support their families and establish a healthy biblical worldview in their communities.

Our Partners

Latino Minrage grew up in Pemba, Mozambique and has a strong sense of calling to bring the hope of the Gospel to his country. He was impacted by growing up in a childrens home (The Dream Project) since he was 11 years old which heightens his appreciation for those that are willing to serve and bring hope to others. He began dreaming of what this could look like in 2012 and went to YWAM in 2014 for training and a degree to prepare for establishing a ministry. The next step is to move back to Mozambique full time to continue developing Visible Waves and pursue the vision the Lord gave him.

Community Development

Their primary focus is to provide education, training, and empowerment in (3) specific areas to empower women and children. Sharing the Gospel and establishing a healthy biblical worldview will be accomplished by establishing relationships through these methods at least in the early stages of development. By equipping and empowering people, they can return to their village with a biblical worldview and be a catalyst for transformation in their village.
